  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hi everyone, I will officially join the ranks of Husqvarna owners tomorrow. Anyone have the TC 449 and can give me some ideas on mods you think it needs, that you did and liked the best?
Thanks and can't wait for my first ride on Saturday...

i dont think 2012 449 bikes are here yet.at least i have not heard of any.my guess he gets the much lower priced 2011.i bet it will be a lot of fun in the desert!dan

that was a pre production unit and husky us was not selling them.the thing did sound sweet on the track.i never rode it as it looked too fast for me:oldman:.kind of wished i had tho.they were going to use those bikes as press bikes .more flogging!

The 2012 TC449 sounds great from all the new reviews.... would be a shame for them to not bring in a good MX bike... we seem to have the desert / offroad / DS market covered on a wide range of choices now.... nice to see some improvement / movement on the Track bikes...

Hey everyone,
Thanks for all the support. My bike is in the garage. It is a 2011, I bought it at Tri County in Moorpark. The guys were real helpful. I do have to admit, I almost bought the TXC 449 for the green sticker but the MX bike is what I really want. I may go to Milestone tomorrow, depends if the boys have a water polo tournament.

Finally got the first ride in yesterday. A month after I bought the bike. (3 boys, 4 dogs - That's all I got to say 'bout that..)
The bike is great. I do need to get used to it. Coming from an '04 Yamaha WR450F, I haven't been on an MX bike in years. The review I read on Motorcycle USA was spot on. I do have an issue, I'll call the dealer on Monday. The sprocket and chain rub against the plastic chain guide. Need to see what the fix is. I'll try to post a picture.
The rear brake pedal is different. My boot kept getting caught. The pedal tip angles up. I couldn't get the adjustment quite right. Other than that, I really like it. It's a very fast bike and I think handles well.

I better check those too, Thanks Bax 3.
I wonder if the rim isn't spoked right, causing it to pull to one side? I think I'll pull the tire today and check.
I found 5 loose spokes on the same side, not all are as bad as the one in the photo. That one was was just missed. I bet it's the hub alignment.
