  • Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Wow! That sounds fantastic!

Red 125/150 ergo's are the bomb. I had a 2012 WR150 and have to say it was one of the best bikes I've ever had. Sold it to get an 18 E-start 150 because I'm super lazy, but can't really say the overall package is much better... which means it's excellent. The red tiddler was an under-appreciated bike. And a good-looking' young lady she was.

@ncsteve. that is interesting , this bike is a solid inch bigger in every direction. maybe its because i can't stand up that long and its just more comfy sitting. I made some bar clamp spacers as to put the height up on the crf like the husky in hopes of getting the same love. also some fastway pegs all in hopes of getting it more like the husky. thanks guys cya

I do the same on many of my bikes. I'm just under 6' but the knee thing is the issue. It really helps. What really helped... has been doing range of motion exercises for my knees. It's effortless now and I quit buying seats!
 
At 6’3” and 200 lbs. and 53 years old, EVERYBODY gives me a hard time about riding a 144 in Hare Scrambles and the woods. I opted for the taller seat from Guts Racing (awesome product btw) and ordered two different sets of bar risers from Roxx only to discover that Husky offered two bar riser options - amazing what happens when one peruses the manual...a novel concept, I know.

The Husky “bar risers” are simple spacers offered in two different heights but they have the right bolts, etc. and are economical and albeit the Roxx risers offered an infinite amount of adjustability, I found I prefer the simplistic nature of the Husky spacers. If anyone is interested in the Roxx risers, I could send them to you for $50.00.

Btw, several of my buddies recently went from 250 two strokes down to 150 two strokes and guess what? Their lap times are shorter and they inched their way up several spots in the points standings....
 
I'm 5'11 and 150lbs and 50 something. I'm a full minute slower with the 300 than the 165 on my fav practice loop of @ 6 miles.

I have EE 5/8" bar riser on the 300, but planning to go back to stock with rubber killers and high bars.
