  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc Gear lever

Oldscool

Husqvarna
AA Class
I'm hoping someone can help me.
I'd like to try a slightly longer gear lever on my 2013 wr. Does anyone know of a lever, perhaps from another brand of bike, that fits? I think I read a thread somewhere that a certain yz (I think) lever works but I'm buggered if I can find it now.
Cheers.

Dunno bout actual lever but I run the hammerhead +20mm tip on mine. From memory it was a decent fit(flogged out now after 100 hours use so tip worn n a bolt/nut where main pin used to be but it works still) maybe jus a washer to pack out gap

I'm curious as to whether there's a longer one also. If the 250/310 n possibly the old 450/510 use same size shaft could look under those models too?

Yes. Yes I am. Think need a washer for packing gap in the tip(wider than shifter thickness without its sloppy). Can't remember if I had to ream the pin hole out a little for hammerhead pin to go thru. Think I mite but just did it with round file on bike(could have been 300 shifter though-I drink heavily on my week off!):)

I'll send ya photo next week when I'm home if ya want although I'm due a new tip myself after 100 hours as the ally wears n gets sloppy when ya stompin on the gearbox all day long. It's currently got a bolt n nut in it to snug it up til get a new one

Cheers mate. I've just arrived home from ordering the tip and pin. Figured if I can't get it to fit then I've got a pretty knick knack to sit on a shelf inside the house....just as useful as half the crap the wife keeps. lol

That's not crap mate it's prettying up the house. Don't you have any style/fashion/decoratin sense?!
