• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

GAS GAS FACTORY CLOSING - Official announcement.

Well i for one am pleased that the brand will continue, specially as i just aquired a gasgas txt pro300 trial bike.
Hopfully this means spare parts available when needed.

They'd be like old husky wouldnt they have enough aftermarket suppliers that oem isn't so critical?! Not sure bout trials side of things tho. Parts didn't stop either did it-thort they had a skeleton crew doin parts this whole time?

Trials bike eh juicy. This mean wen u back down under we can go play in the rock quarry n log tracks some more without you destroying my bike?!!! ;)

Yup trials bike so i can pop it an hop it like a boss. Thats the plan anyway.
Not sure how bad i can smash up your bike but i will give it ago!

Not sure who troys directing his post at with motor switch but i was on about clutch baskets kickstart idle gears etc.
Whole motors can be swapped if the price is right.

And the name gas gas will live on not torrot that sounds like a bad fairgrounds fortune teller "mrs torrot"

POST #60 SAYS THEY WILL BE USING HUSKY MOTORS...WHY? TORROT DIDNT GET THE TOOLING FOR THE MOTORS IN THE DEAL?? WTH:excuseme:

GG bought the designs for the husky motors before the bankruptcy and now torrot will be using them in the GG's.

I'm assuming it's new tech we didn't see with husky though because i can't imagine them buying motor designs similar to their own (2 strokes). They never had their own 4 stroke motors though, they used yamahas engines but for whatever reason they weren't allowed to sell them in the US

Interview has been translated and revised to English as of today. Problem is, the file is now so big, I cannot share it. Have asked for a PDF without all the pictures...will see if it gets sent over.
