• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Gared Steinke's Husky TC125 in the GH National

I'm all for this kid doing what he is doing. Some seem to think it's a complete waste of time racing a 125 against the 250f's. He's getting a ton of exposure for himself and his sponsors by riding the 125. Everyone's trying to get their own slice of the pie. He's just doing it by being one of the most popular riders vs being one of the fastest. Go Stank dog!

oooooh if they would just tweak the rules a tiny bit dump that 2 year old bike BS and 50 more CCs a 14 WB 177 CR and he could kill it nobody would have the balls to protest if they 'd let all 250s run ????? Honda might hold out but i bet the green an yellow guys would be burnin the midnight oil and that homogation rule BS THROW THAT CRAP OUT so the TMs can race

If his intentions are to win he is wasting his time.... I really like Stank Dog and He's basically last of the guys circulating laps but lets be honest he would be midpack at best on a 250f so why not have fun and make a name for yourself....

We use to have 3 classes before.... need to go back to MX1. MX2. MX3..... 450s, 250s. 125s.... instead of this dumb RC road to SX they could have them all start on 125s and then move up.... plus then it would help the safety of the local races.... you have kids going straight from 85s to a 250f which is absolutely crazy.... make them learn how to really ride a big bike before you give them tons of power to jump with

125 Youth Cup would be cool.

there is a lot to it----think about the EU 2 stroke manufacturers, there is also a business money and jobs reason to keep those series building to keep those 2T bikes, to keep racing less expensive, etc etc etc . Lots of economic reasons along with the racing fun

I still believe 4 strokes and the expense that goes along with them is one of the reasons for the decline in moto sales.....

It would be cool to see more 2-stroke only races. And big bore 2-stroke races!
Start paying purse money to 2-stroke riders, and you can bet we would see more 2-stroke interest.

If you want to see more 2 strokes do what was done for the 4 strokes , the ability to run a works bike for 1 year . But it has to be a 2 stroke ! Any guesses as to what the factories would build ?

And while thier at it , make the classes open to any engine configuration as long as it doesn't exceed the displacement for the class .

I was at the CALVMX Races at Glen Helen on Saturday. There was lots and lots of BRAAAP!

Much of it coming from some pretty trick looking CZ's no less.

Stank is fast on a 250f in arenacross and I bet him doing what he's doing on a 2 stroke (finishing 30th place or so) sells more bikes for KTM than any arenacross rider. There are a few local Pro riders that do the county fair races on YZ250s just for an economic way to race and maybe even make some bucks. I doubt they could make much on a 250f after expenses.
