• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

i got one of these last week and tested it out yesterday. its perfect for the newer 4 stroke huskies since they lack low to mid rpm power. now my bike acts more like a 2 stroke and gets the rear tire goosey in a hurry

good stuff! took all of that worthless slack out

I totally agree! I used one all season on my TC 450 and it worked awesome. Seriously though, with all the talk about the new tc 250 being a little slugish off the bottom, wouldn't an immediate fix for that problem be some gearing changes and one of these throttles......

I want one for my WR125 badly but he says he doesn't make them for two strokes. I wonder if I could buy one and just get a custom throttle cable made?

I have a G2 with 400 cam on my 2007 WR250.. Which I believe is the exact same.. I talked to the owner of G2 before purchasing from a local shop..
So I'm surprised you were told it would not work..

That's really strange. I talked to the owner too and he is the one that told me he only made faster cams for the four strokes. I already have a G2 throttle so I was only looking for a 400 or 500 cam and he told me he didn't have anything just a few months ago. I'll give him another call, maybe he discontinued them? If it was just a mistake I will happily order one up today. Thanks for the heads up.

I wanted something slower to lessen the hit.. Which is why I am using the slowest cam included in the kit which is the 400 cam (he has another
yet slower cam available).. But if you are needing something with a harder hit.. You maybe correct.. Sorry for any confusion..

Just realized where our confusion was, it's not that I want a G2 throttle cam, I was responding to the initial post of a faster throttle cam. G2 only makes slower throttle cams for the two strokes. He went on a bit about the reasons he won't make one (lawyers, testing, and customers trying to use it for untested applications) and ended on "Ty Davis called me a while back begging for one and I wouldn't make him one". And I'm no Ty Davis :(

Quit stalking me.. One minute after I post you respond.. FWIW I'm married.. But I do like to get dirt with the boys.. But in a different way though.. :D

i have used one for a couple of months now.. i tried the 400 but was too long.. i love the hit off the big bore down low but tight S/T was tuff as it wanted to spit me off lol... changed to to the 200 and was a lot better, more in between the 2.. but have eventually gone back to the MX 100 as i really like the short throw now... i reckon i have just gained better control and strength on the bike now but it definately helped when i went from the xr250 straight up onto the 510 ! :) ps, hated having to mess about with the csrby cables.. also put an "0" ring onto the pumper and that makes it hit even harder ! lol..

I just ordered one from him yesterday and saw this post today! Delrin insert for smoother feel. G2 has great customer service too. Cheaper then a EFI tune to increase low end snap I hope.

installed mine today, the delrin thing was way to tight so i left it out.
i liked the results, but haven't rode it again after taking all the factory slack out of the cables

what r some good after market grips?

I am happy with my quick turn after the first ride. I also took some slack out of the throttle cable which eliminated some of the free play in the throttle.
