• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

G.P.R. Brake lever and more - I'm working for you

Hello everyone, I forgot to tell you one thing. When I brought the bike to G.P.R. have taken measures to make the various parts of the bike special. Among the things there is certainly more interesting in programming in the construction of a brake lever which passes over the platform of support of the foot. For the times they themselves do not I have been able to say anything, but we agreed that when they are ready for the bike will report the last checks. Were then tuned ;)

Great! I bent mine on a rock just the other day. The tang that triggers the brake light switch bent the most, and I rode home trying to figure out what exactly felt different about the rear brake feel-- that's when I discovered my brake light had been on full blast (as if braking) the whole way. I'll buy a remanned lever if it is less than $100. Otherwise I'll buy beer for my welder friend...

There we go. Saturday, October 26 will bring the bike back to the GPR to try mounting the rear brake lever with high passage. Hopefully soon we will have a lever that will not go below the platform creating many problems in the off-road! Will update in two weeks!

Unfortunately, tomorrow I will bring the bike to the GPR. And the worst thing is that I can bring it up to November 16. I'm at home with a very strong influence. : (.... I'm sorry guys for the brake lever will we have to wait a month: (

I do not know yet how it will be. But I think that in the picture. Unfortunately, this week I will have contact with the GPR because they are all on the motorcycle show in Milan. (EICMA) soon as I have news I will tell you.

Here I am, sorry for the delay but had not had time to do things. The lever at the end they sent me as a prototype to try to mount. Next week, if I can, mount it and will let you know. If there are problems I'll have to bring the bike to the GPR for further measurements. Anyway here's the first lever with high passage for the brake of the bike!
We will definitely have to mount a switch lever idrostop because with this there will be more space to mount the switch to the stop.

Hello guys, unfortunately there is' a problem with the prototype of the lever. The attack on the pump does not go well, and then I'll have to 'bring the bike back to take the measurements. I'll keep 'up to date. however, I put a picture where you can see how it will work;)
Not bad I'd say!
