• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Team Husqvarna rider Jake Argubright leads the series......with a passel of talent behind him...
who will show up at the Big K for the Funky Chicken this weekend?....or waste their time at Last Dog Standing instead? :-)

A couple years ago TXC511 mounted Cory Graffunder laid waste to the field until a last loop tangle with a lapee dropped him to second.

Rumor has it that Bill and some of the BMP crew may show up...and they are once again a race sponsor...so if you come, buy a tshirt with a spiffy BMP logo on it!

Lets see drive almost 1000 miles one way to race a Hare scramble in Oregon. Or drive less then 100 miles to waste my time as you call it racing against a field of world class riders. Some of the same guys I got to line up next to at King of the Moto
The following riders have pre entered these riders also just did ensberg in Austria I sure hope they do not feel they are wasting there time.
Taylor Robert, Cory Graffunder, Cody Webb Kyle Redmund Colton Hacker Max Gersten Plus a lot more Pros and local experts will sign up to try and be crowned Last Dog Standing.

So sorry I will be wasting my time at LDS on my Husky 165. Hopefully all I have learned from doing these and all the questions I have asked from those who have will help me get another class win

PS I also know that if Factory Husky rider Jake A did not have to go to Oregon to keep his point lead going He would also be wasting his time at LDS against a field of World class Riders

It is just to bad both events fall on the same weekend.

Ive lived near Glen Helen and near the Big K....
Big K wins any day....

Yes, I realize that many of the competitors are in Glen Helen's back yard and that is where much of the action will be, but the Funky Chicken is still a better venue.

While it would be fun to watch Jake demolish the field, we do hope he has some competition....Garrahan is a regular at the FC, so maybe we will have a two Husky show. Sullivan also has done well here in the past. We will get some of the NorCal guys while you southerners play in the sand.

Yes it is too bad that we have 2 great west coast events on the same weekend. I remember Cory trying to figure out if he could ride LDS on Sat and FC on Sunday 2 years ago.....flights just dont make it possible, private plane would be required or sleeping in the van while the mechanic drove all night.....

Hope you guys have a great turn out! I'm just bummed I can't make it this year! I'm sure D36 will be bringing the big guns! Good Luck!!!

Dude, I think it was a joke.

For me personally i would rather ride the nice green flowing semi forested stuff at the funky that the rocky dusty hell I see in Axax vids. That does not fun at all to me. Would not even do it if I lived there. I guess it is a case of different strokes for different folks.

Great weekend up in Oregon. Perfect weather, and my boy got his holeshot in the 85 class and $50 from batterystuff.com.
