• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Fun trail ride

Did a fun ride last weekend with some good friends. Nice conditions. Traded off some and was amazed how much power my 2010 TXC250 has even when jumping off good running 07 WR250 and 08 GG300. I felt it had as much power as those bikes and had no problem staying right on the back tire when it opens up. when Ken (GG300) was following me he too said, WOW that thing rips. He said he was pinned to stay with me. My bike felt real fast this day. Adam with the 07 WR250 rode it and i think was faster on it. Seemed to gain speed. Adams Wr was running real well too despite having 5000 miles on it and in need of a third piston. Surprisingly it felt as fast and snappier than Kens 300. Kens 300 feels lighter and turns better though. Was fun trading around. The TXC felt the lightest to me of the three. Adam thought so as well. So the TXC feels lighter than the 07 WR250 and 08 GG300 and seems to have just as much acceleration. I really had a good time on the bike. Been riding my 125 a lot so it was fun to tear it up on this bike again.

Good day with good friends chasing each other around the fun trails.

I look shorter with my gear on :D

Alright.....that does it! I don't know what it does exactly, but it does. great looking ride.

Some bikes just look right, the TXC looks fantastic. It looks fast and balanced just standing still.

Kelly, you have a big hole in your front fender, whats up with that?

Real cold day this winter following Adam to close and eating roost. Whats weird is it is a perfect hole with no crack to the edge. It's all part of the fun.

Your ribs are lookin' pretty "woody" there Kelly! Might oughta reduce the fiber intake a bit buddy!
