• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Full Gas Sprint Enduro

Like to hear your thoughts on it. One of the rounds is coming up my way and I'm pretty sure I'm going to enter it (45 mins away, I gotta at least go watch)

I've been wanting to do one and was thinking about the WV round. A long ways from home though. A friend went to the SC round and was disappointed about how little track time he got in 2 days. I'd still like to check it out myself though.

Well, after 2 days & 6 tests on each day, I miss out on a 5th in 50+B by 13.785 seconds! No trophy for me, dammit. Haha! It was a lot of fun, we and a 2+ mile grass track & a almost 4 mile enduro (woods) test, each run 3 times a day with the 2nd day in the opposite direction. The format is kinda cool, I guess you could complain about lack of seat time, but it's a different kind of race. Since every second counts, it's really a Full Gas Sprint. You're spaced approximately 15 seconds apart at the start, & you definitely need full concentration & hit all your marks. I would give one a try just to see if ya like it. I'll hafta say though, the best part of the day was when I was on the 92 wxc350 checking out the scores & I get a tap on my shoulder. I turn around & there stands the "King", DB himself. "I saw you from the Moose trailer & had to come over to check it out" Haven't seen him in a few years, so we chatted a bit, way cool.

You get basically get an hour maybe less a day.... To me to courses need to be longer..... 2 miles and 4 miles dont cut it....

Instead of a solid grass track and a woods track I would rather have a good mix in 2 different or even a single loop of 10-15 miles....

And instead of sitting around for 30 mintes between 10 minute loops.... you should be able to do the loops at your pace.... I would rather line up and go and not wait....

I'm glad this format is out there but its just not for me I guess.... I'd rather do a 80 mile enduro or a 100 mile h and H

Racemx, funny you mention it we do run 3 15 mile laps and after the initial start you can start the following laps on your schedule.

Thats perfect.... thats how I run mine too.... this sitting here waiting on a specific time sucks..... lol
