  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Fuel tank options.....again

I know this has been discussed over and over but in the interest of new infomation........

Does anyone have any scoop on big "bigger" tank options for the 08-09 TE's? I have the 510 and REALLY like Motosportz' under bar damper. With the IMS I'd lose that. Just wondering if anyone has heard of another company bringing something to the table. :excuseme:

Thanks.

http://www.cafehusky.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2274 See post 25 I think.
This thread talks about a new tank for the TE450/510 and the 610 as well. Later this year we all hope. As for now, I don't think Kelly has a fix for his damper w/IMS.
On the other hand, George at Up-tite is almost done with one, GRP and BRP have dampers, both GPR,BRP claim to work with IMS tank. I'll be getting one from George as soon as the are ready as the GPR did not work with my IMS tank so I sent it back and I did get a full refund, shipping both ways.

anyone knows about this

http://www.nomadtanks.com/, just installed one No6 on my TE510 and connected it directly to my IMS tank using a Touratech spare part used in BMW Xchallenge 650 Rally edition to do the same job. Connect stock tanks with external tanks (EFI bikes).

just got back from a 300 klm ride, an old Rally Raid one day Roadbook, lots of stony trails and long pieces of over 100km/h.
Husqy did great, after the new suspension set up and oil change (spectro cartridge oil), no problem with the tank set up, in 180 km refill just put 14,7 litres and i have 16 available.
