I posted a while ago about my 11' TXC 250 fuel pump crapping out. I decided to buy a cheap $40 pump online instead of the more popular aftermarket version as a replacement. After purchasing some good Gates hose and tiny hose clamps(the cheap pump has no "teeth" at the hose connecting point, but with the clamp was very secure), I was able to install the unit. So far it seems to work well. The "prime" noise is a bit louder, but after three, three plus hour rides, the bike still starts right up.
I should have asked this before, but has anybody needed to replace an aftermarket pump yet? I'm still fairly freaked out about the unit quitting on a ride; enough so that I have even considered going back to a carburated bike.
