  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc fuel fouling plugs

so the needle is 3rd clip. 40 pilot and 410 main. i dropped the main to a 400 and it was stell wetting the plug with fuel, but not actually fouling, but ending up a little white on the tip. so, i went back to the 410 on the main and dropped the pilot to a 35. it seems to be running alot better now. after tomorrow i'll know better how it's working.

thanx for the tips about addressing the pilot circuit motosports and old geezer. deny as i tried, i think that you guys were right about it being the problem. it's just so much easier to change the main versus the pilot/needle. anyway, we'll see how it goes tomorrow. i have a feeling i'll end up going to the pwk before long if this keeps up.

So, after playing with the several different pilot/needle variations I'm going with the pwk. Enoughscrewing around. Thanx for all of the help. I could get it good for a bit. Then a cloud would pass over. Screw the mikuni

I have not tried the iridium plugs in a 2 banger but they really do burn better and foul less than a standard plug. Might be a good move in conjunction with leaning out the pilot jet. By the way thay last forever, worth the few extra bucks.
