What size is the Front Wheel Hex Bit on the 449/511 & 310?

Looked through the owners' manual and shop manual without help. Trying to create a tool kit for vacation.

It's a 12mm

Or replace with the Zip-Ty unit that uses a 3/8 square drive.

You can use a 10 and a 2 together. I did that to remove and replace with a 15mm hex head version from Motosportz.

Mcmaster Carr 8367A49 or 8367A29 will work. 3/8 socket drive to 12mm hex bit.

Also can get a hex key from them for $4, 7289A21.

Or in a pinch, bolt with 12mm head and vise grips to grab and turn the bolt...

A lot of us get the 15mm hex replacement axle bolt from Motosportz or Uptight and a 15/27 combo wrench.

So, what's the hot ticket to hold the other end of the axle, other then the special tool that husky makes that didn't come with my used bike?

Leave it clamped in the fork on that side (with the pinch bolts).
