  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

hey all can someone give me the links or post up photos of non oem front fenders for the red/white/black huskies please? juicypips destroyed mine(haha sorry mate had to drop that again!:D ) the other day so need to source a newy & was gona go with something more stylish & modern. which are the easiest fit up with least amount of mucking around/modifications? I think it was RMZ & YZF that more or less fit? GG maybe? don't wanna be making up brackets if I don't have too but if its pretty straight forward & worth the effort I will. cheers

also model years of crossover bikes

I put a ktm fender on from th 09-13 exc range. Only had to drill out the 2 back mounting holes a little to slot them out and fit fine. a buddy used the newer ktm fender but had to drill and tap to holes in the front of the bottom triple but otherwise fits and looks good.

yup no issues with clearance. I also have the trailtech X2 headlight so that mounts up perfect to the ktm fender

yeh its way old school-like late 80s/early 90s! think I prefer the yzf fender over the rmz, 449/511 & ktm styles but these are still better looking than stock IMHO. just want good fitment so if the yzf is ok fitment wise ill go that route

I'd like to see that when you get installed, please
this is how it looks the yzf fender

The neoprene covers ? Yes i rate them but my bike predominatly lives in thick layer of sticky mud thats a yellowy clay mix, i also use a seal doctor ever so often not replaced seals on husky yet its 4 years old to me.

yeh I rate em too. just keep em clean & dry(post washing of bike that is-don't leave em on there dirty & wet as promotes rust/corrosion & ingrained dry dirt/sand can be very abrasive)
