Problem: I Need to replace the right stanchion tube
Forks: Marrzocchi 50 mm open chamber on 09 TE 250
Procedural considerations: To get the stanchion tube out, I need to remove the the bottom valve. To remove the bottom valve, the manual says to use tool R5081AA to prevent the forks inner parts from turning.
Questions:
The manual shows and mentions a hexagon shape for this tool to engage(p. I 11) Looking down at my forks innards, I don't see any hexagon shape. I see 12 holes about 1/8" in diameter in a circular pattern. Does the tool to hold the innards really have pins to engage these holes? And if so, where do I get this tool? Any other important points that I'm missing?
I have the shop manual, but I have never taken my forks that far apart.
Also note: The forks have been lowered 2" and revalved with triple action valves by Pro Action.
Any help will be appreciated, Thanks
