• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

For RaceMX904, Red Husky shrouds

2006 TE450 using streetbike windscreen rubber riv-nuts with blu anodized hardware to keep the seam tight. The later use of Gorilla tape worked even better. Maybe a combo of the 2, these earlier shrouds had a large insert blade tab the later plastics like the 08 not nearly as big of a tab.

BTW 1st foto TXC450 post race dirty from once in a lifetime Tecate GP (2nd place 50+ Open trophy)
Actually I got lapped by a local ex pro who is now over 60 and raced open class for that event and OA 3rd behind two pro kids....so I think of my finish as 3rd 50+ open.
2nd foto super clean prepped TE450 on the trailer and ready to race the legendary Elsinore GP

note 04 TC450 Ti pipe on my 06 TE450. sold the 04 with the 06 TE SS pipe!!! kept the super trick and ultra lite Ti Arrow setup.

Post race westchec ama enduro it was tight and twisty lots of manzanita, you can see the gorilla tape is beat up but no branches stuck in the seam.

BTW 1st Mag Hwt 40+B 450+cc, kinda around the time when I knew to be good sportsman and to move up to A and not be a sandbagger in the B class (my test times would have gotten a P3 podium in the A class---3rd behind a husky legend). this bike is still going strong!! BTW-W LR was the winner of the Mag Hwt A class on that day--on what was to become my 2011 TE310 (the best 4T ive ever owned). 1 degree of separation??PPPS LR was event OA 3rd, ahead of many fast "kids"-guys a lot younger than him.

also you can see the aft section of the lower shroud popped out from behind the upper, I even taped that area up as well, because pants sometimes would get hung up there.

that was rooster performance disc guard that company morphed into motosportz from our cafe crew member Kelly.
I just drilled the crap out of it to lighten it , it was locomotive train strength and solid alloy but too heavy for my taste. I relieved alot of material and it still is on the TXC450 with the new owner .

Thatll prolly be my go to Robert.... like it better than the zipty only, and the remove the lower shroud totally deal...
