  • Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Hey guys,

I just tried to order a FMF Power bomb header and muffler for my 2012 TXC 310. I was told that there are none to be had, not even from FMF themselves till latter part of March. Does anyone know who I might could contact that has them in stock?

Thanks guys, I called them Friday and they say they are backordered as well. I guess James got the last one. James, have you had a chance to try it out. Could you tell a noticable difference?

You should consider the Akrapovic. I rode two 12 txc's one with the Akra and the other with the PC. The Akra was superior in performance and was quiet. Go to their website. The improvement in power on the dyno chart is exactly what I felt in the seat.
 
Yes, I have it installed quiet core with quiet insert. It is louder than stock. With the insert is seems to
Pull a little better, low end and midrange. I took the insert out and it did not seem as snappy down low,
But better topend. I had the stock pipe with the cat in, so this is an improvement. I plan on a TC airbox
And powercommander V. I am satisfied with the purchase.
 
Bills still had a nice looking Jardine (Spelling) on the shelf last time i was there for the X-lights. Has the canister, full system developed by Ty and crew and inexpensive. Just tossing out options.
