  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

First Husky Bike. 13 TXC250 but cant ride cause of winter. Pros/Cons of the bike?

Chase

Husqvarna
C Class
Ok i normally ride Yamaha but i recently converted to Husqvarna because i got a good deal on a 13 TXC250 Warp 9 rims red hubs with heavy duty forks and Dunlop tires ( ones with no valve stems, they dont hold air cant remember what they are called) , pro circuit T-5 full exhaust ignitioned mapped for the exhaust. supersprox sprockets 14-50 Revalved Suspenion Fuel injected and eletric start ( i love this feature ) the bike has hardly no ride time on it and i purchased for 2500$ Pic of bike is my display picture. I am unable to ride the bike due to winter. ANY info on this bike would be greatly appreciated. i normally race hare scrambles and GNCC im a B lvl rider. How is this bikes bottom end ? EFI ? how do the compare to the Suzuki Yamaha Honda Kaw's or KTMs? Is it a competitive bike ? I have researched the bike and havnt been able to find much i just purchased because it was practically new with some upgrades. Bike came from a Sponcered Rider that was 4th in youth nationals. Im not sure to keep the bike or to sell and make money off it and buy another Yamaha. PLEASE HELP ME********************************************************************************!! I CANT FIND ANYTHING ABOUT THIS BIKE ANYWHERE ELSE********************************************************************************

i meant spokes. Aswell how is the 14/50 gearing on the bike ? anyone run 14/50 in the woods ? hows the bottom end ? i hope this bike is a competitive bike because i love the looks of the bike and its different NO ONE here runs a Husqvarna so i would be the only person on one. kinda like that thought lol Also i would put a Rekluse Z Start Pro on this bike for next years GNCC / Hare Scramble series, How is the Rekluse in these bikes ? Do they have enuff torque and power to run a Rekluse and actually be helpful or does it hurt the power ?

This is the bike. How did i do price wise? I have no clue on the Value of these bikes or what they sell for but 2500 for a 2k13 seemed like a dam good deal to me

STart searching the 4-stroke section of the site. There is a lot of no on these bikers, as well as the TXC 310s. I know because I just grabbed a TXC 310!

I suspect your bike is already pretty well sorted since it was raced for a season. You'll just have to ride it to see if the power works for you.

The bike only has 40 hours on it and had a new piston and ring with like 5 hours in it I think?

That's not one of DeLong's bikes is it ? .. There is one of his 250's for sale for $4500 on Craigs list In Morgantown Pa .... Great bike !!

It was stumbo's bike. Picked it up in ohio. After a lot of talking about price he meet me where I could afford the bike. I had my Yamaha stolen so all I had was 2560$ saved and he cut me a deal on the bike. Never In my dreams thought i would end up with a 2013 with the extra this bike has on it for that kinda money.

Just wish I could find more about the bike I can't find nothing on the 2013 txc250 at all except pros saying the bike was slow. I've never owned one I just wish some of you guys would give me some input on this txc brand. I hope I didn't make a mistake buyin the bike ;(

The '13 TXC250R is basically a '13 TC250R with electric start, 6 speed box (as opposed to 5 for the TC), an 18" rear wheel, slightly larger fuel tank.

Great handling bike.
Power should be on par with the 13' YZ250F according to MXA http://motocrossactionmag.com/Main/News/MXAS-2013-HUSQVARNA-TC250-MOTOCROSS-TEST-THERE-IS-9569.aspx

seeing as the bike is opened up with an exhaust and race map, i'm sure it'll rip.

should be a fun bike to ride. they are very light and stable....it's a 250f, so plan on using the clutch if you want to blast out of corners. the KYB suspension (forks/shock) are the best on any bike produced, enjoy. great buy

The bike is wonderful even in the snow man it grabs traction so well and even climbing hills in the snow was a breeze I'm very pleased with it. I do believe there will be many more husqvarna bikes in my future. Was thinking of maybe looking for a wr165 or 250 smoker. If it handles anything like this bike does I'll be like a fat kid in a candy store ;).

Looks like a blast and you got a great deal on that bike! it should be selling for $4000 IMO. Good find:thumbsup:

Yeah, you stole that thing for that price. I paid almost the same for my '06 this year and it's nowhere near as hopped up as that one.
