Riding Again
Husqvarna
AA Class
I have been reading all of these threads and wanted to thank every one here for all the great information that has been given about the Husqvarna TR650's. It is sad that there will be no more made because I have been waiting for 12 years to get a street bike close to the last dirt bike I had which was a kx500. In my opinion the Terra is as close to it as I have come across. Drop a 100lbs and it will be exactly the same in 4 stroke.
I started looking at this bike a month ago and 3 weeks ago called my local bmw/ducatti/husqvarna dealership and asked if they could get one for me. They said sure we can get two or three and I immediately said I would give a deposit. They said no need come on the weekend and I did. two weeks later nothing but a run around. I started making phone calls got to the corporate Husqvarna and found out there is 120 bikes sitting at the ports but have not been released due to KTM owner and BMW fighting over who pays the taxes. Although, the corporate rep got in touch with the local dealer and helped get the ball rolling. The local dealership backed out and I just bought it from a dealership in Virginia. What a night and day difference with in a day we had the shipping worked out to my door.
The dealership is Frontline Eurosports in Salem Virginia. I spoke to the sales manager Nate and he made the purchase exactly as I was looking for in the beginning. If you are looking for one there is one left there. If you want one of the 120 bikes left that will be shipped soon I would call Nate and get them. I am not a put in a plug for random people because I ran an Internet department for a Large car Manufacturer and would ship cars all over the world. In that regard the service I got from the first dealership was HORRIBLE! The experience I got from Nate was not only a sigh of relief I finally will get my hands on a brand new bike I hope to pass on to my son when he is older but he went well above what he had to. Nate is very active in the motorcycle industry and even invited me to attend a training course held by professional racers when he heard I planned on riding my bike everyday rain or shine!
I have high hopes for this Motorcycle and on Tuesday will finally found out if the 4 weeks almost everyday working to get the bike pays off! LOL
