  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

FE/FC FE350S update

Husqvarna
Pro Class
FYI on crew member's 2015 FE350S (PC5 dyno test mule) ZipTy Racing full boat hardware and suspension.
Bike was acting strange, we though maybe clogged injector...even with both fuel filters installed. Turns out "A" had not completely cleared off his hoses and at least one was all filled with fuel I did not see but probably was a canister vent or something and could have been in addition to a vacuum leak, seems it filled up then was sucking liquid fuel back in causing sporadic idle and bogging from rapid throttle movements ( rapid throttle- A tends to make-he is a rather hard on the gas sort of guy- ISDE vet SETRA vet) so now with all the hoses stripped off and all the vacuum lines removed the thing is a new machine again. Anyway for a full race set up get rid of ALL the "hoses" and junk and be sure to cap/seal ALL the vacuum stuff as well.
Quote "bike is full on Tony Cairoli mode now" he said he was toying with and passing at will one of our crews fastest guys (a guy that finished 2nd behind Ty D in the 2013 Tecate HS).
FE350S with slip on FMF Ti/Carbon, Dual mapped/switched PC5, ZipTy Fork mod, WP Trax shock and assorted other race oriented stuff. Rip City Plated machine

as it should be especially for his rather extreme throttle hand. may coin a new nick name Im thinking "A-Bomb" Tommy is already "TnT"

It sounds like the solenoid on the fuel vapor recovery system went Tango Uniform and allowed vapor and/or raw fuel to flow into the vaccum port on the intake tract. That would definately cause some issues.
