  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

FE/FC FE 350 FMF Exhaust?

Adam Crookes

Husqvarna
Does anyone know if any of the KTM model's exhaust bolt on? The Canadian distributor's are talking about August before any exhaust shows up from FMF. Head pipes seem to be available, but not the muffler's.......

Just taking a shot in the dark here, but the reason they may be telling you that only the headpipe bolts on is because of the different subframes. Possibly the mounting locations have moved?

The distributor is telling you lies.
This fits all the four stroke range and is available at my dealer now!

I asked an FMF employee at the Daytona sx about KTM pipes fitting. He said they had some issues with the pipe melting the subframe and would have Husky specific pipes soon. I checked their website the other day and they do have different part numbers for a FC 450 now. That being said, I am in the process of removing the internal baffle in my stock muffler (MXA said it helps the bottom) and while I had it off I slipped on my old '07 450sxf stock muffler. I bolts right up. Gonna run it to see if I notice any difference.

Thanks for your help guys!! I got my exhaust on order. I talked to the guys from FMF on Monday, they said it should all work. They did say that there going down to a hand full of new part numbers that will fit them all. So I guess that's why the dist. was saying Aug. That would be for the "NEW" part numbers.

I also have an FC 350 and i too was told August. Also I was told that the 250 runs the same exhaust system. On the FMF website I can find listings for the FC 250 and 450 but only FE 350. Am I correct in assuming the FE exhaust will fit fine?

I am also curious as I have noticed the exhaust same thing... and I really want the FMF full system... Don't know whether to buy the FC250 or the FE350 version :(

FYI I fitted up a FMF 4.1 muffler from a 09 berg 450 to my FE350 without any problems. Matched it to a KTM SXF mega bomb header from memory.
best way is to go to a KTM website that has the part catalogue and cross reference the 250 to 350 etc for the various KTM models and then that will tell you which models will be the same and therefor fit your Husky. KTM are pretty good for not changing parts between models and years which makes it easier to get secondhand parts etc

Just got mine the other day, dealer actually found part numbers just fine
Muffler says KTM SX-F/XC-F- 07-14 /XCF-W 08-14 /HSKY FE250/350 14 part # 045558

Power bomb header says:
KTM250XCFW'14/350' 11-2/XCF'11/XFFW'12-4/EXCF'12-4/HSKYFE250/350'14
Part # 045365

Hope that helps? image.jpg

Would a full system from the FC450 suit the FC350? I think the part numbers are different so I'm assuming not.
