• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Corona, CA - July 30, 2013 - After sitting on the sidelines for six weeks with a broken hand, Fred Andrews Racing (FAR) Husqvarna's Andrew DeLong is getting back into the swing of things. DeLong returned to racing at the Rattlesnake National Enduro in Cross Fork, Pennsylvania where he carded a seventh-place finish.

"I was really excited to get back to racing today," DeLong said. "It felt good on the bike but I got tired the last two tests. I need to get my hand stronger, but I am happy with my day."

AD has another solid month to train before his next race - the Unadilla GNCC on September 8. But after having missed two rounds of the 2013 series, Andrew is now focusing his efforts on the International Six Day Enduro as a member of the U.S. Junior Trophy Team.

"We were just at the AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days in Ohio selling t-shirts to help raise money for my Six Days effort," explained DeLong. "Not only that, I did some interview stuff with a bunch of Husqvarna legends like Malcolm Smith, Dick Burleson and Terry Cunningham. It was really exciting to talk to Malcolm about Six Days; we talked for a while and he gave me a lot of advice. It means a lot to have such great support from someone like him."

You can still support Andrew DeLong and the U.S. Six Days team! Contact Andrew via Facebook for info on ordering a t-shirt for $20, or to make a donation. Show your support for the American Junior Trophy Team!

All Husky riders owe a debit to that guy on the right ... Mr. Smith set a standard that only a few riders can ever lay claim to ... Mr. Delong can certainly add to the legend of Husky bikes also ...

PS -- I'd get in line to buy either one a beer ...
