  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Extra fuel range for your 449/511

Nicest attempt I've seen at expanded fuel capacity. Appears to be easy on, easy off. Wonder how well it rides the rough stuff and whether it tears up the fender at all. I've been carrying a couple MSR botles in my Camelback for rides over 70 miles - this could be much better. Anyone got one, yet?

GOOD FIND!
3 liters=.8 gallons would be pretty good without loosing too much in terms of erganomics or weight distribution. Seems like a good system and looks kinda "oem"ish. I like it. I like it better than the Safari tank for sure (way too much/overkill for me)

Seems like it should be an Austrailian.

The thing looks pretty good.

;)

Well so far the Aussies have done right by me, Kelly sold me a set of thier tires, awesome BTW and I have a Zac Speed backpack/chestplate coming from down under. Maybe Ill be first, I desperatly need the range in the Sierra Mountains and hate carrying fuel in my backpack.

Would be great if we could get Motosportz to import a batch...I know Kelly needs one for his TE511
Im game if the price delivered in US is reasonable

I'm loving my 1 gal rotopax fitted in my back pack, saved my back in a crash on the rocks yesterday cracked my helmet to ! If it had leaked I would have been hurting when it dripped onto the pea gravel imbedded into my upper right cheek.

Hmm, I need one of those before Westfest in CO in July. Wonder if we can scheme up some kind of group order or something like they do on ADV?
