• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Epic ride...

Do you ever see any Bears ? :D
I actualy ran into a bear once. We where both cruising along a trail and he ran out in front of me and we with slammed on brakes so to speak. He just barely touched me and spun around and ran opposite direction. I have seen bears maybe half a dozen times all my life riding in pnw while out riding. They are literally all over.

Kelly I gotta hook up with you on of these years out there. It's 4 hours each way for me but dang I love the Gifford Picts I have seen so far. Still have never been.

Oh how quickly the game changes...

This is a few miles from Kellys pics.

Later,

Awesome. Jake called and was all amped by his ride, Jake loves the snow. Crazy how that was 65 and sunny thursday!!!

Jake, I felt bad you weren't at Enduro X, but now I don't feel as bad! Early in the year to get a snow ride in. I bet the snow was in great shape. I enjoy riding in the snow as well, as long as it's not crusty. However, Not sure about a Trials in the snow?!?!?!!?

hey i think ray rays right theres pretty good riden north east south and west of the fat bottom...hunn he might be on to something ...o and as far as how great it is in the pnw well i think i has rained every day since those photes were taken ..way to time it k

Maybe a group buy is in order for the Fat Bottom Bar and Grill? ... it is a a perfect location for hitting the trails and GPNF plus the great state of OR is right over that big mountain to the south ... Two members\buyers will need to be on hand at the bar to help pay the property taxes and ELEC bill ... Everyone uses the place as a trail head and goes off riding each day ... Maybe rename to something like "Coffees FatBottom Husqvarna TrailHead Cafe " ...

The PNW certainly has what you like then ...But it will crust over to where it is just a 6' high wall of concrete ... The cool par is in the summer next yr when you go up there each week and ride the snowless (wet?) bottom areas and then head up the mountain sides and into the snow line .. Each week the rides get longer and longer as the snow recedes to higher and higher elevations ... The creeks are also full of the melted snow ... Early in the year there are not alot of riders there also...Holidays and the areas might get a little crowded ...
