• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Just got back from the race. Husky made the podium Cory Graffunder coming in third place:thumbsup: behind Taddy at 1st and Damon at 2nd. Nick won the 250 Amatuer and the 'Dash for Cash":applause:. A common theme of the night was hard starting Huskys, seems that at various points each of the guys had problems. Starting after stalling hurt several of the guys so bad they did not even qualify for LCQ. Overall great Husky Represenation.

Great to hear about Cory! :applause: The "hard starting" part was one of the reasons I opted for an '09 TXC 250 versus an '10 TC 250. I heard similar comments from an insider at Vegas. Many of the TC's at Vegas were '09's and Husky reps are saying the '10's have the starting bugs worked out... we shall see. I wonder if Cory's bike is a '10?

The race was awesome! I loved seeing so many Huskies out there...I even heard people in the crowd commenting on them.

I felt bad for the poor guy on the TM. He was having a hard night.

Great race, and way to go Cory! Maybe they should handicap Taddy once in a while though to give someone else a chance.

And for those of us in the UK feeling left out, the endurocross event in Sheffield on October 31st should include: Knighter (on some sort of green bike), Taddy, Mike Brown, Dougie Lampkin, Ivan Cervantes, Graham Jarvis, Antoine Meo and Gordon Crockard. Get your tickets now! :applause:

Thanks for all the support guys. It was a fun weekend and a great race for Husky. I just got home from the 24 hour drive. I will have a race report and pictures up on my website sometime tomorrow. www.nickburson.com

Nick, I just gotta know.

Did you put one of those Cafe Husky stickers to good use I handed to you at the dealers meeting? Did those bring you luck?

You did mention that you would, thanks!

I hope it brought you luck! Thanks for the added effort to take and post the pic too, I'm sure you are tired. Get some sleep...
