• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Enduro Engineering Stuff for 08/09 Huskys

ScottyR

Husqvarna
AA Class
I am lending an 09 TE310 to Al Randt from Enduro Engineering in Michigan to play around with and see what kind of goodies he can come up with for our bikes.

Al already has rad braces ready for the 08/09s and will be seeing what else he can come up with for us.

He said he will need the bike for 2 weeks but will have lots of good stuff ready a few weeks later.

I will keep you posted.

Oh my, an EE soft seat. Well I can dream can't I??????
Almost did not sell my KTM because I liked that seat so much.

#1 I'd say a ready to use tall and standard height soft seat. Guts Racing already makes a tall and standard height soft pads/covers. But most folks do not like or are not able to re-cover their seats.

#2 A taller more complete frame gaurd to prevent boot chaffing or an addition to the oem chaff gaurds.

OK, kiddies, name the rider, where, and when...

can't see the foto...but with all the discussion.......must be Alan Randt...where? When?

he is a great guy and actually answered a personal email concerning tire choice for me,,,I have been very happy with what he recommended for where we were/are riding.

Don't know who it is, but I haven't seen anyone wear a Scott face mask since the late 70's. I wore one until 81

It brings back memories

I am gonna guess.......looks like an 86 or 87 (cant tell without seeing more side view) ISDE from the skunk stripes.......Poland in 87 and Italy in 86 were both rocky hilly muddy. Alan has 3 medals including those years and if I recall 87 was the year of the red plate for ISDE in Poland so my guess is 87 ISDE in Poland. (Despite the open face and mouthguard.......c'mon..Fred Hoess rode with those into the new millenium!)
Regis.....thats my final answer

WE HAVE A WINNER****************************************

Good Job, Joe.

Poland, '87. This was the year of the infamous Mark Hyde/Alan Randt switcheroo IIRC...

Must give props: Photo by Mark Kariya

Just kidding........I know its a cable only motorcyle show called "Cycle Sport International".............great show that broadcasts in our area and originates in Kazakstan I believe..............just showed "Borats top ten mud tire shootout" Old Barums won........I think the testers still felt loyalty to many "Old high ranking party officials".....go figure.....they also said Jawa was the bike to beat in 2009..........
