• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Now that the FIM are running the EMX 125 class in europe its sad to see that there were no Husky Cr 125's on the line up for 2012.
I may have beeen mistaken though.

Its like the Euro (FIM) version of our US Nats or Aussie Nats only they have an official 125cc 2T class (i dont know all the particulars they are in the series rule books). AMA roadracing to Moto GP or world superbike comparison. The MX1 MX2 MX3 are GPs. No factory effort in UEM/EMX as far as I know, and no private teams stepped up to use Husky product.

Sounds like a good way to race bike except no Huskies....

I ve been to Holand 2 months ago and did visit a few amateur motocrosses

I was pleased to see that the 2 strokes (especially the 125CC) is coming back strong on the club level.

besides the older Japanese 2 strokes the new ones are mainly KTM and TM.

the thing is that husquvarna has a strong enduro reputation and is by a lot of people not assumed as a motocross bike

in case of Holand the enduro possibilities are somewhat limited (its crowded combined with though regulations for recreational off road riding) so the majority of the motor action is closed circuit motocross

Im a big believer in that for Mx to continue to progress then the entry level classes need to be more affordable and I think that the development of the 125 class is essential to that. Most people that race can sit at home and repair a 2 stroke.

Can not understand husqvarna europe's lack of drive in promoting the mx bikes??. Very poor job. we tried to get another rm125 and when I could'nt get that we tried to get a yz but none left so my dealer talked me into a husky. I honestly thought it was just a fill in bike to complete the season before my son goes to a 250f . How I have changed my mind!!!, He has absolutely lit up on the husky and loves it.It just works for him. The point is, if the race program and promotion was right we would not/should not have felt it was just a last option for a fresh bike?? There's two husky dealers here in Scotland and only my son racing one just now (in any Scottish championship mx class!!) He's right at the front and loads of people come over and check out the bike but the ktm dealers pretty much have the sales job done for them due to the whole set up and marketing, not because its a better bike. Emx125 and national championships is surely a great place to showcase these brilliant bikes?
