• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

EHS pre filter and a JD tuner make a great combo

damn, something else to buy!

Hi bensl - As you are in Oz is there a chance you can check with the Uni Filter guys about a replacemnt airfilter for the TE 610 ... they do not answer my query from their website! Many say there is not one available but I find it hard to believe and in their catalogue they list under their ProComp2 filters (part number in bold):
"All models TC, TE, WR 04-10 NU 1015ST "

just gave them a call and they are gone for the day. i would be confident with the part no. listed in that second link. it looks identical in shape to my twin air and the number is there to see. the filters in both links look the same to me.

i will try and check this arvo if i get a chance dom.

edit: a quick google shows one on a 610 here so they should be available http://www.offroadexplorer.com/ProjectBikes/TE610.html#Anchor-43793

edit again: see here http://www.uniflow.com.au/contents/en-us/p911.html

Wow! I feel sorry for you guys having to pay those kind of prices over there. And you pay more for your bikes new and more to rego also. I can even buy the Made in Austrailia products cheaper here i.e. Safari, Pivot Pegz, etc. than you. What the heck! That doesn't make any sense at all.:excuseme:

If you Google that Uni part number it consistently shows a completely different filter - for the 511?! Yet in the pic of your link you can clearly see the number - very confusing?!

welcome to Australia, the land where everything is expensive - it sucks big time! hence ALL my add-ons have come from overseas. it is amazing how they gouge us, especially dissapointing for products made here (im looking at you pivot)!

Many thanks as that clarifies firstly the opinion that there is not a UNI filter for the late 610's and also why the pic in the link above has the wrong number on it (clearly is from a late 610 model but someone fcked up). The number you qoute here is the one I found in their catalogue.

Prices of farkles here in SA also very expensive and even if you mail order can cost due to our exchange rate and import duties. But at least goods made here like Hyde Protection and Kaoko stuff is affordable.

JD tuner has arrived and is fitted. I haven't had the chance to take it for a run yet but with the basic setting the bike starts as soon a I hit the button and idles without the need for the cold start idle up lever. Looking forward to getting out for a ride.

hi guys in australia have ordered 3 ehs filters & will have 2 extras if anyone is interested

Hey southy where did you purchase your jd tuner from?

I ordered from Main Jet Motorcycles. I used them before for carbys and JD jet kits. The shop is actually now closed but Leah still sells JD stuff online. http://www.mainjet.com.au I didn't order online but called Leah direct. The phone number on the website is disconnected (old shop number) but will redirect to new number. $299 is a bit more than ordering OS but comes with free express post so I had it next day.

Wish someone would come up with a K&N cone filter kit for the 630. Maybe even getting rid of the airbox alltogether.
