• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

ECEA 2014 Call-out!

Hey guys/gals how bout a shout out to all the ECEA racers on this forum!
Who's racing, what class, how's it looking for ya this year?!
I'm getting excited and antsy! Anyone else??

C-Open hare ccrambles and selected enduros! I am stoked, I have everything on the bike completely sorted out, all ready to rip!

Sadly, I am going to miss the TCSMC season opener, which is a shame because it's a great race. I "have to" go to Colorado for the annual drink beer, ride snowmobiles, and backcountry snowboarding trip.

I am planning on doing Sandy Lane and the Delaware enduro, along with as many scrambles as I possibly can.

I think Im gonna do the Tri County HS. Slapping my graphics on this week and that about wraps up the bike prep for the season. Holdin off on the shock. Still need to feel it out before I get it serviced/changed again. I have a feeling this is gonna be a good year. My buddy Kevin bumped up to Vet A so I dont have to eat his dirt anymore. He'll be way too far ahead now haha.

I move to B Senior in HS, and I'll probably do the same in enduro (I've ridden B200 in the past, but I want to try my new 310R this year). I'll do as many as time/work/family allows. I plan to the Tri County HS, but I'll miss Sandy Lane. I'm working Curly Fern, so the first enduro I hit will likely be Greenbrier.

I'm all antsy in my pantsy to race!

C-Vet...Gonna do some harescrambles and a couple of enduros. Probably the OXBO will be my first. Bike is almost back together. Waiting for my forks from Drew at WER (Great Guy and Great Service...and only 20 minutes from my house)... I've spent a lot of time cleaning and going over the bike. I can't wait to wrap it around a tree...it's just a matter of time.

K5PL5 we should meet up some time at the RAC when the weather clears up

Good on y'all!! I love all this participatin' and not spectatin' !! Have fun out there and be safe!! Support the Sport and the folks that work hard to put these things on.

For sure!

I havent decided if I'm riding vet or A this season yet. I'll be at a handful of ECEA enduros that are cosanctioned by my local AMA District 4 Enduro Championship series.

That 300 looks sweet to me! That doesnt help my urge to find a husky 2t. Im seriously considering riding Curly Fern this year. Its been a few years for me. I better get off the couch or those sand whoops are going to eat me alive!

I love the 300. A few friends of mine race some nice new 4 strokes but I just cant go that way..
Havent done Curly Fern yet. Hopin to do most races this season.

Im considering entering a couple hare scrambles this season, ive only raced mx so far. Im a bit of a track rat, only gone trail riding a couple times. Which one would you guys suggest i do? I wont be on a trail dedicated machine, so suspension and all won't be at all right. Im sur . I can still have some fun though.

Where are you located? Id suggest any of the NJ races as they are more suited towards an MX suspension in my opinion. Lots of woops and a little bit of high speed spots here and there thru sand. The woods sections arent rocky and trees are sparse. Im more of a rock rider since I come from PA but Im trying to improve my sand riding. It was a new experience for me last year.
