• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Easy of riding on Husky TE-450

dellos

Husqvarna
Hi there. I'm new to Husky. I had some chance to ride the 640 LC4 for fiew times borrowed from my friend. And it was to havy and to big for me. Now it's time to me to get my own bike.

I'm thinking of getting KTM EXC 450 from 2007-2008 or Husky TE 450 from 2007-2009. I can't afford to get new bike and prices for 2008 huskies are great 2/3 of 2008 KTM. I also heard that TE is easier to ride than KTM. Is it true that husky is easier to ride? I just started to learn the Enduro way of riding.

I'm 189cm tall and about 80kg weight so it's not so mutch there. As I heard the Husqvarna will be bike that will forgive errors more than KTM.

I will get bike in this Year I think and wondering if it will be Husqvarna or not. All help is needed to make good choice.

Its best to shop around and try to ride both brands to see what suits you best in terms of erg etc. I personally prefer the Husky but some of my friends prefer KTMs.
At your weight a 250 or 310 may be a real contender, dont discount this and try to ride them. I have come down from a 510 to 450 to 310 in the past 4 years, admitedly I am in my mid 50's. But I am fit and weigh 235 and are 183 Cms (just over 6 foot). my 310 is a great machine in the tight bush/single trail stuff I prefer to haunt.Good luck with your deliberations

Im thinking of getting the Husqvarna TE 450. I can add some add'ons to Husky in price of KTM. Thinking of adding some covered bars also thinking of new exust. I can't get the bike for tests before buying that's why I have problem for it.

hey dellos, I bought an 07 TE450 last year, I have to say that so far its been great, had a couple of issues early. suspension set up was terrible ( this was from the previous owner ) I went back to the service book settings and it was only a couple of clicks from there, now it eats up stuff I'd never be confident hitting on my previous bikes. it also overheated on me during a pretty steep hillclimb, a Y piece and bypass hose solved that and since I've put a fan on as a backup. I'm 191cm and 84kg and have found the ergos are comfortable I don't feel cramped like my previous bike. what bike are you currently riding?? my last 2 bikes were an RM250 and a YZ426f, I found the power usable and it really likes to revvvvv, but it may get tiring, ghte is right try a 310 as well, they still pack a punch. look around, test ride some if you can, make sure the previous owner serviced, maintained and cared for the bike, 2nd hand 4t's can be money pits if not looked after. good luck joker
