Just seeing what everyones thoughts were on the last race of the series. Also who do you think will have a better showing the east or the west in the lites??
As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!
Well that is it. I am officially no longer a Stewart fan. I just can't cheer for the guy anymore. Amazing skill, and without a doubt one of the fastest riders ever, but he just keeps taking himself out of it and not just that but he keeps taking other guys I like out of the race. At this point I'm not even sure if I want him to race the outdoors. He's almost more of a liability to the other riders as he is anything else. Maybe I'm just frustrated because I used to be a HUGE Stewart fan but at the moment I'm really having a hard time to find a reason to cheer for him.
Onto a positive side now, Congrats to Villopoto, Barcia, and Tickle. Poto seems like a very nice guy and without a doubt a very hard worker and that always has to be respected. I would have liked to see Tomac beat Tickle but that's the way it goes. I really like Barcia because he isn't afraid to get mean if he has to. Not a dirty rider in my mind, but also not afraid to shed some blood if that's what it takes.
All in all a great season. Now time for the real racing to get started. The outdoors start in 2 weeks, and that's where the real men are crowned in my mind.
