• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

and maybe the Delaware(if it doesn't rain too much before it).

Rain? At DER ? Your kidding right? :D

Maybe we'll run into each other...I'm a DER member.

Dave in Delaware.

I'll definitely let you know if I'm heading there. I'd go even if there is rain, but I'd rather share the drive and none of my friends have been willing to go if it's been or will be wet.

From NW PA I hope to attend:

Renfro Valley DS - Kentucky
Hanging Rock DS - Zaleski OH
Durty Dabbers DS - Lock Haven PA
Seven Mountains DS - State College PA
Rattlesnake Enduro - Crossforks PA
NutCracker200 DS - Logan OH
Baby Burr DS - MacArthur OH
Hatfield-McCoy WV - June '09
Hopefully an AWRCS race
Allegheny National Forest as often as possible (I live an hour away)
Hancock NY DS - I hope to attend
NE Husky gathering - I hope to attend

Definetly do that...I'll look you up.

When I get the bike squared away I want to try a Dual Sport (never done one), ... maybe some select enduro's.

Want to try Dirty Dabbers...heard it's fun.

And the Hatfield and McCoy .... sound interesting.

I have some friends that love Dirty Dabbers!

Norm, you've got that right, SJ has a lot of runs nearby:D

GNCC announced that Snowshoe race is going to have a total of $50,000.00 purse. I bet there will be some boys from Europe for that one if the schedule allows. It will be a good time as it is at a Ski Resort.

I plan on hitting the entire NETRA enduro series,PA national enduro, may even hit one or two more nationals as well as sandy lane and curly fern in new jersey, going to ride the wheels off my new 125!

Last year, Yanni and I went to both Renfro Valley, KY and Baby Burr, McArthur, OH. Both were top notch enduro-like rides. Highly recommend them if you like tough, yet fun trail.

I won't be healed enough to make Renfro this year, but keep an eye on the Husky gatherings threads as Yanni and I are hoping to make a trip up to Wolverine, MI in early June to meet up w/ Huskys4life and ChopSuey for a mini, impromptu Husky gathering.

If I'm not up for hard riding by June, I'll put my trip off until fall, it all depends on how quick I heal, how strong I'm feeling, and if my (off-road riding!) surgeon gives me the OK.
