  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Dyno Tuning the 511

Hahah I know it's an Akro but mine isn't free flowing which is what might be holding my bhp back. Tinken thought it might be a txc Akro

Yup, TXC silencer. Almost as heavy as the big can Farconni and very restrictive. Try to replace the header too if you can.

Some slow dude on a txc^^^ ;)

My Akro is full race, no carbon end cap and no resonator. I didn't like the big can resonator, making something new.

Must be a different model Tinken? Only have two Akra pipes available in Aus.
I have thought about cutting my muffler shorter but.... It's soo much money to be cutting into :s

Originally the TXC silencer was available internationally with a mid pipe to fit the TE header. The TC silencer is nearly identical but with the carbon fiber band instead of welded fittings. But they didn't allow it in the US. I'm not exactly sure where mine came from, it was a custom made silencer and header for the Husqvarna factory team. I designed a new resonator for it and am waiting to have it mounted.

Stock XR600 had 34hp, so it wasn't too bad stock, still has enough power to motor up most things. But powered up is pretty nice :D

Try 53 horsepower for my old one :)

644cc 13-1 comp. megacycle cam and rockers, fcr41. 15/40 gearing. I miss her. Could wheelie by cracking the throttle at low rpm. Back before I knew how to ride haha.
