• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Lets see if this works....Hope it is big enough to read...:)

Pages scanned from issue #21 Trailzone Magazine. The review was done by one of the assistant editors who normally does mainly Adventure Bike reviews. My impressions from some of his previous articles is that he is a "basic" trailrider..This may explain the lack of debth in the review.....

I'll read it tomorrow. It is getting late, as oppose to your location where you are probably just waking up.

I right clicked and viewed 'properties' - photobucket has the ability to accept 1MB images regardless of size. I've put up some extremely large images.

What you put up is readable though... thanks!

Actually it is only early evening here....Hot day today (36C) so it is time for a BBQ, a cold beer, followed by a white wine or two...:).....

Nice article.

Almost slanted in Husqvarnas favor though, or maybe the writer likes all bikes. In the dislikes category were the Cemoto plastic hand protectors (I call them 'flags'), I don't know 1 person that uses those things.

Interesting about the new cam chain tensioner - don't recall reading that before.

"World wide sales of motorcycles down 2.5%, Husqvarna sales up 27% world wide". It would be interesting to find where those #s came from.

When I was working in PNG with a bunch of Aussies I used to beg / borrow / steel all the off road mags they had.
