• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Don't ya luvit...

You lay a new 50 odd yard concrete driveway, nice and smooth, grey, and yer 8yr old grandson does "real good" skids at each end on his bicycle. Bloody little ratbag.I'd have never done that...Where is the respect these days?. Bike is red and black though. Kids ay...oh yeah.

Did that. Ta. It really stings. Little tikka wants to go fishin' now. Just sold the Riv. Will have to take him out in the tinny. If he stops the skids.Bloody Kids. Cool as...

stepson thought it would be good idea to refashion his skateboard with some cool spray paint...on the driveway without a drop cloth.....for five years there have been shadow outlined skateboard graphics.....at least that black rubber can go away fairly easy.

Better than that, my wife painted a school project for my daughter on my driveway. Yamaha blue. Been there for 5 years now. I tried removing it several times, unsuccessfully I might add...

Those are good but my pregnant wife didn't like the smell of a plugin in the bathroom, so she unplugged it and laid it on the edge of the jacuzzi tub and it leaked fragrant oil on top and down the side of it. My little girl picked it up when we were brushing our teeth and she says " it's so sticky". Apparently that oil will dissolve the resin they use. You could take your finger and poke a hole right through it. :(

I shut the gate so he wouldn't overshoot and go out on the road. No sweat, he braked a bit earlier (trying to do a 'broady') and ended up on the deck. Came up smiling with a wince...learning well:applause:
