• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Dont know what i want!

ive rode a 011 te 310 and 250 on a mx track and prefered the 250
yet logic/my head says the 310
however i ride enduro most weekends and dont wanna scream the 250 4 hours aday plus
no local dealers if there were any probs fi cdi ect!
i love my 05 te 510 when dry on practice tracks but not to race!
rode a 12 hour race last year on my wr 250
i do put in alot of hours!
i dont know what i want!?
A husky for sure
for racing and the 12 24 hour a light 4t yep te 250 310
but feel the maintainence costs would be 2 high for the hours and abuse im going to do!
i kinda like the cheaper carb old school 450 510 which dont get hammered!
i suppose time will tell

I've ridden everything from early big bore 4 strokes (yz426) to bored out 250 2 strokes (my brothers yz285) to 125's. I honestly feel that the 250 4stroke is the best do everything bike. I mainly ride enduro's and found that I prefer the lower power and light weight of a 250f over the power of a bigger 2 or 4 stroke any day. especially when I'm doing a 100 mile enduro. just my 2 cents.

Thanks for that. We were in the woods today. Nothing fast. I never want to see tree roots again.
Was hard work on the 510 and my wr has really hard Sussy set up! Not the best of days.
As I said before I really like the 250 but my head says the 310
Thanks again I'm going to try to get another test ride on the 250 on some faster ground
