• Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

This plate is one of the most expensive but I feel it looks great and is the better engineered of the bunch. I have never looked back and been sorry for spending a bit more for what I like and believe it to be the superior product. You never know, this could be that time.

Well gee, thanks for the vote of confidence. :excuseme: Lots of customer posts here to read about it. If you don't like it I know people that would like to have it.

Sorry Motosportz, that comment was directed at myself not the skid plate or any of your products. I meant to say that I have a lack of confidence in my choices and have been lucky so far, probably because of my self diagnosed obsessive-compulsive disorder which has saved me in my obsessive research in the past.

The knowledgeable Motosportz sales person on the phone was very helpful in describing the product and gave it a fair comparison to the competition explaining the values of your product. What drove me to cancel an order and go in this direction was the opinions in this forum, which I respect, including yours (I read about you and you sir know your motorcycles.)

Rest assured Motosportz, I promise that after I have mounted the plate I will give a report to this forum, I am sure it will be positive.

Just received the skid plate yesterday, 2 days from phone call... outstanding Motorsportz! Great service.

It is a piece of art and built rock solid. Fit perfect, took about a half an hour because I enjoy the process.

I am wondering if the unused small holes in the front will be used for future "wings" adding protection to the water pump area, that would be nice. Otherwise, I could not be happier and feel the skid plate is a great value from Motosportz.
