• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

You finally quit riding that orange stuff??;)

Well I still have a couple old faithful's still, but they are up for sale, albeit not a fire sale. 07 and newer KTM's just don't do it for me and I like tinkering and maintaining on the Husky much much more. Now that there is a good local dealer :D I am much happier with the HSQ

As for a TXC310, that is a NO from my sources. Not quite sure of the reasoning, but 09's have supposedly been ordered and production commenced for TXC 250, 450, 510 and TE310 along with the 2strokes. We should be seeing them early to mid October. National dealer meeting isn't until early October either and I would presume HuskyNA will want to present the new stuff to the dealer body first before shipping it off for retail sale but it typically takes 6 weeks after the production of a bike to make it into dealers hands, sometimes more if foul weather or customs gets into the mix.

Dirt Rider December 2008 - Chris Denison article

"DR Riding impressions of the 2009 TE310" - Nice. Pages 88 - 93.

Incredibly upbeat compared to past articles by a different author, it was a "riding impression" and not a full test but Chris gave it some good kudos.

The only weird thing is there was no mention of the factory license plate. With or without plate the bike was liked well enough.

The only possible negative is the "Is Husky healthy in the US?" question in the "what's not hot" category, which is a fair question, at least for the casual rider that knows little about Husqvarna.
