  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I have a 2013 CR 125, quite a nice bike to ride but when I do ride it I struggle to kick it over, fine on a stand, possibly due to short legs. It seems like you have to give it 2 to 3 quick kicks to spin the motor. I was going to try and move the kicker round slightly but can't budge the bloody thing. All this is making me want an electric start, I have just bought an IMS tank and FMF fatty, if I hadn't bought that it definitely would of gone after the weekend and the bottom tad hose split. Rant over.

I had my WR lowered 1.5".....way better now. I am omly 5'4" with a 29" inseam.
No suspension issues and has as much ground clearance as most stock height Betas

Thanks guys, will check the squish, what works best, I have got a second hand 150 cylinder I would like to put that on it. I am 5'8" with a 29" leg, so might look into that option

I'm 5'6" with the same inseam

1mm squish, just machine it off the surface of the head, don't touch the chamber. They have really low compression stock so taking a bit off helps a lot.

i had similar issues with my 13 husky wr125- u have to get the bike setup before u ride- once its done it will make a lot of fun

i used different base gaskets to get the squish set, and fiddled with the carb, changed the needle...
