  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Did you get this survay?

This is a little interesting ...

Who are you to represent "Husqvarna Motorcycles NA" ? ....

Got it in my e-mail today. It's nice that they are asking. Gives me hope for the post-KTM future.

There is another thread on this. I have confirmed with Corona that it is their survey...though I dont know that they anticipated it being published online.... they may be surprised it the emailed 5000 people and get 10000 reponses :-)

I think the folks that posted the link most likely invalidated the survey results. Just think of all the KTM, Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, and Yamaha guys and the responses they might enter. Perhaps a good opportunity for honest, useful feedback shot all to heck.

Exactly

The survey asks what bikes you own and have owned. I don't think it is possible for the feedback to be shot all to heck, after all it is what it is.

The survey I received asked me to rank them by value and other categories. Also, it asked you to provide input on what types of bikes we wanted them to build. I don't know about you, but I'm not interested in a Husky crotch rocket streetbike at all.

I think you hit the nail on the head.

The survey I took was mostly about brand perception. The questions were pretty general and typical of any marketing research survey.

Yeah, the end of the URL posted looks like a specific code for the person to which it was e-mailed.

Did anyone that received the e-mail have a different code? That would confirm it.

So you could not check a different box because the survey form will look in your garage to know if you are lying or not? Or were you trying to be sarcastic (I sure hope so).
