    WR = 2st Enduro & CR = 2st Cross

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

All 2st Did Husky get 2nd in the World 2 stroke MX championship?

Husqvarna
AA Class
The 2 stroke championship came and went with what seemed very little media attention. I believe Husky and Bobby G placed 2nd. I think this is pretty amazing, or is it just a case or decreased competition.

Is the WR300 possibly the best 2 stroke ever made? Or is the '05+ YZ250?

What would be the perfect 2 stroke bike? Some say the KTM 250xc. I say no.

What would make the perfect 2 stroke bike?

Great for BG ... There was some small issue, maybe a crash, I believe happened that kept him from winning ... Anytime you starting labeling something or someone as the best, it will be very subjective at least to many factors ... with that said, the 250 & 300 Husky bikes are proven winners in many event world wide and have many satisfied customers, even here in the states ...

Those red Marzocchi's look pretty cool !!!

PS -- after looking at all the 'herking' big 4t engines, these 300s 2t engines look really small :)

Yes he did Plus the Jamie Lanza bike which was also the motorcross auction bike is now mine.
After racing a stock Wr 250 for over 1 year you can not beleive the difference from a well set up bike to a stock bike. The bike i got now has a stock motor but has bigger brakes and better suspention along with the CR electronics. The rear has a TTX shock and has been lowered like 10mm The front is waiting for a set of those red 48mm zokes but until then a set of TC KYB 48 are working really well
The stock motor is fast enought for me and does pull a little harder then a 250 the bike really does work well and is also a work in progress so it should even get better. For some reason when set up correct the bike just feels lighter i can not figure it out but it does. The Husky 2 stroke motor is in a class of its own when it comes to being tuff and lasting a long time .The rest of the bike can be changed to be better then all the rest So a husky 2 stroke with a little work is far better then any other 2 stroke. Since 2006 i beleive i along with my sons have more race miles on Husky 2 strokes then most and never a DNF
