• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I am looking to buy a Husky 510 smr as a 50th birthday gift to myself next month,my local dealer here in CT does not have the best rep for doing business with. Do not need them for working on the bike as I have that covered. In any case can anyone help me out with some were else to go to do business with?

Buy local if you can.

Bottom of the second page; Toy Tech Cycles...

All their info is there...give Scott a call.

My friend bought one from Bills cycles. We picked up the crate from a local truck yard.
It sure was nice being the very first person to start the bike.

I imagine your talking about Moto-Fit in Danbury.. They sure have EARNED their "reputation". I got mine at Wagner in Worcester Ma. Had a good experience there. Easy to deal with and they have a STELLAR rep for service and modding from everything I've heard. I didn't buy from Moto- Fit after they wouldn't give me a price over the phone. Moto-Fit's customer service sucks anytime too I feel the need to call them for a local Husky specific part as well. I usually get my parts either by calling Uptite, or online, or if my local bike service guy can get them, from him.

never had to go back there for anything, as they are close enough to me, (2 1/2hrs one way) to buy a bike from, but really too far to make it worth it to go there for anything else.

Also from Glangston's list I've dealt with Eddie from Eddie's vintage bikes. He's a good guy to deal with too, but he just couldn't get what I wanted for quite a few weeks when I was looking.
And I don't know what Destert is talkin about with MSR.. In 2 or 3 trips there I could barely get the "service" or parts guy to look up from his magazine for me when asking questions and looking to spend $$$$$$.. Got absolutely no help from them at all when trying to get a part for my buddy's Hussy when we had an issue while close by to them. Supposedly they been trying to turn things around.. good luck, I've still heard ALOT more bad things then good about them. Malcolm was nice though and avtually took time to shake an admirer's hand when I was there though. Too bad his employees make you feel like your annoying them.

Yup,Moto-Fit. I did stop there this past Saturday just to look at a 510 and the owner was very willing to give me a great deal on a 09 that has been sitting around. Even asked about being able to buy a 2011 smr still in the create when they are available so I could put it together myself, was willing to do this for me and even if it was to drop the bike at a Triumph dealership my friend works for to do it.
