• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

David Knight can't figure the BMW out!

I am sure the factory race machine have up-rated and even different suspension components (as we know).
I am sure that for us normal folks the bike is great, but when get up to that rarified atmosphere in the world class level, every little oz of weight dist. and chassis feel can mean seconds in course time. If you look at the WEC only a couple of seconds can mean 1st or 10th, I've seen ISDE times within tenths after six days. I still like big Dave,,but as a racing fan, I think even with his frustration he is all ready well into the season and should have rode through his issues and bowed out at the end of the season. He is out of the front running anyway.Think all the greats in all racing formats they rode through the bike always with sick determination. Anyway the other side of the coin is that he wants to get onto his new next year machine and start to get him and it dialed in to come on strong from the start of the 10 season.
Did I mention he was in the Kawasaki paddock hospitality and hanging out the for most of the day at the Assen round of WSBK? (just food for thought) The KXF seems to make a good offroad machine, in factory built mode (RickyD,DestryA for examples).

It is all but confirmed that DK will be on a Kawasaki KX450F the next time we see him.

It would be nice to see the green marque up on the podium again in WEC. Both the 250 and 450 have seen great success in offroad in the USA.

Bottom line is DK makes more $$$ from Red Bull than anything so he can trash talk any brand.....(or toss it in a blatant baby fit of a sore loser). If he goes green......wonder what the folks at Monster drink will say about red bull...........ther is not a single Kawi thing that doesn't sport Monster graphics..........maybe a new drink line for DK......Monster Red Bull?
Maybe he and Jason Lawrence will team up for "Team Incredibly talented but bad Attitude"
Just saying...(sorry Dale)

My 2 cents
Joe
