    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

CRD Radiator guards life cycle ended @160hr

type, older (06 model) style CRD rad guards. @160 hours of use, including a bunch of races and tough 1 and 2 day rides, not too many crashes and none really hard. Just life cycle breakage vibe and minor impacts only.

both are broken at the rear frame mount position (90deg bend) the bend radius just split on both sides. Note one has been broken for a while longer than the other. One has been chafing against the rad and has rad marks imbedded into it(!).
Been riding alot and not doing good pre and post ride inspections.

Found during heat up and refit of my IMS tank (its been off since sept)

these have more than lived up to expectations. remember we beat the heck out of these machines do your inspections!! enjoy the ride RN

dont forget to check yer hydro clutch fluid too mang! lol....
 
ya know brand new master cyl and still there is fluid residue/dust sticking around the lever push rod. !!!annoying! but just another thing to check pre ride...oh well. Hey it aint a husky engineering issue its a magura issue.

"dood- more maintenance, less beers." Nah its more inspection pre and post and less riding with no time between to look at things!! reminds me my airfilter is way beyond my normal swap time schedule. RN
 
Just bought Enduro Engineering rad guards. they are same type as the CRD but heavier guage. they went on perfectly and retain the OEM louvers (I like that for air feed to the radiators)

I give the EE rad guards 9.5 of 10!
 
cool beans yer back in biz...my '07 hyrdo sweats a little at the perch too and there's always some shmutz there from lubing the lever pivot. i keep the adjustment screw backed off as well when storing it to take any possible pressure off the plunger in case it gets super hot in the garage blah blah just something i do, not sure if it helps so...
