• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Crash Bar Bags

Kenneth Webb

Livin' It Up!
I'm working on having some Cordura crash bar bags designed and fabricated to fit the AltRider crash bars on my Terra. Pic below is a quick cut-out to see how they would look. The bars are a perfect place for some extra storage and won't restrict air flow thru the radiator. The bags would be about 2" wide at the front and about 4.5" wide at the back, and will take a large tube, or anything you want to access quickly. With my clear Husky windscreen mounted I can no longer put my carryall bag up above the headlight. Storm Industries www.Stormind.net is the outfit I have contacted but since I just did that I've not heard back. Anyone else interested in a group buy?

Templates are off to Storm Industries for pricing. Bags will have some reflective material on the sides and I have asked for a price for Husky logo too. The extra space is going to be nice!

He made a set for my Super Tenere. They are great and are holding up good. I have AltRider crash bars on my S10, he already had a template. Good on you to send a template for the Husky I am sure you will like them.

Not the greatest picture but this is a recent one with the bags on. I use them for my air pump, tire patching kit and rain gloves. Stuff like that.

.Anyone have success with SWMotech crash bar bags that fit. Still at the staring and waiting for an answer stage. Cheesy,my brain can be so ornery sometime. Is the spelling correct for ornery?

If you use Storm, his prices are very fair already. He might give you a group deal. but make sure the template is dead on so you don't end up with 6 sets that don't fit right...

My bags are in the loop to be made. I will not be getting them until the end of July because I am about to take off on a 5 week trip, so I'm delaying shipment. The price is very reasonable too, but I will let Storm Ind. pass out that information. Contact them at www.stormind.net to get more info.
