!! Bulletproof- have been beating on mine for 8 years finally have it apart to replace 2nd gear.To me, 2002's are the most desirable.
The fbf done forks are average for sure, but I can ignore it.
As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!

They are phenominal IMO! The fork was the weak link. I'm interested in finding one, too. They hold a lot of sentimental value for me. I really liked the 01-04 series frames.
If you don't mind me asking, Jake, is this search Scalvini pipe related?
Does anyone have or know where I can find a late model CR 250 Husky?
Thanks

Hi
Has anyone had any experience with the 1996 CR 250 ? I have a good deal for one. I wan't to use it for mostly trail riding and some MX. Please help.
Thanks.
Suggest a simple fix for the forks on my '02? Later 45's would fit I guess, and they can be made to work acceptablyThey really are. The 01-04 CR250 were FAST and slim but as Mark points out the fork kinda sucks. I am on my 4th 04 CR125 so i guess i really like that platform as well.

That's what I'm curious about. How is a '02 CR better than a new WR? Besides the ignition of course.
Could you please share some more info if you tried one ? Is there a big difference between older and newer models ? How is the power delivery ? Any special things I should watch out when i?m buying ?
Thanks![]()
