  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc cr125 vibration

2 bangers do tend to vibe a bit more than 4 strokes. But as rockdancer has mentioned check all the engine mount bolts, if everything is tight go hard !!! You will get used to it.

Compared to my 09 300 the 150 has NO vibration. Check all bolts, but I do not think mine has any.

Are you riding it really high in the RPMs? My nephew usually complains about his 65 vibrating a lot when he hasn't ridden for a while but when I ask his what gear he was in on the straight a way, he'll say "2nd" I tell him "once it's screamin' then shift buddy---the vibes will go down and you'll go faster"

how many hours are on your bike? if you have checked that everything is tight then it may be your main bearings. mine usually last between 40-50 hours

My 04 cr125 has nearly 200 hrs on it with the same main bearings and crank.

You can get handlebar inserts to deaden the vibration.

2strokes vib alot compared to a 4 stroke.
If theres nothing loose theres nothing to sweat.
When the vibs get to the point of discomfort,,,twist the throdle more and you wont notice.

Ditto to that ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

If mine vibrates, I never noticed it. And I ride in everything the New Jersey Pine Barons can throw at it.

I forgot to mention in my earlier post, do yourself a favour and pull off the magneto cover and give the flywheel a bit of tug up and down and backwards and forwards to see if there is any movement. If there is your main (crank) bearings are probably shot. This would probably feel like a deep rumbling vibration when the engine is running.
