  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

hi I have a cr125 well when I select neutral when it cold it ok but once hot I just cant find neutral I goes 1st or 2nd gear am guessin clutch drag any idears ?I realy hate riding a bike with no neutral

Just make sure you have the correct free play at the perch I think 3mm if you pull on the cable housing.

Does it help if you rock the bike back and forth a little?

no ive tried that ive cheaked clutch all good ive tried 5w40 oil full senthetic and 10w40 and 15w40 nothing is helping its some sort of clutch drag but cant fix it

Have you checked out the friction discs or the clutch assembly? Its really easy to do.

What year cr 125?

I'd check the basket for bad notching, or maybe a broken friction plate.

I'm not sure if it would lead to the problem your having but I always check the easier stuff first. Especially with seemingly transmission issues.

yer all good its done this since new n I also own a wre125 2013model for my rd bike and its just the same fine when cold until hot then neutral just gets realy difficult to find ,I can only get neutral to select if I change in to neutral while moving at about 5mph other than that no joy both husky r the same.. am guessing a bad choice of bike I had a Yamaha wr125 and should of keept it the shop says to me that's how they are but surley u should get neutral
