  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc Cr125 Big Bore Kit

Husqvarna
Hi guys,

Was enquiring about a big bore kit for my 2005 Husqvarna CR125 and was told to just on here. Apparently a member Wallybean might be able to help. Any assistance works be great.

Thanks,

Anthony

Was just about to make a post like this , also have a 2005 cr125 and want a bore kit, heard that the wallybean kits are the best

Hi Guys,

I have retired from actively building the kits. Demand is down and I personally am slowing down. I still stock parts and will continue. I don't have the ability to get the cylinders welded or the pipes made at this point. If someone wants to get an older 7 port cylinder big bored, I can handle that for a while yet.

At some point I will be selling my bench motor that is a complete CR165 but I am not ready to make that move yet.

You can PM me if you have any questions,
Walt

Thanks Walt for all the work you did to make my Husky into a 165. There was a time when there was one 1 AMA National #1 plate on any Husky and that year it was a Walt Smith built Husky 165. As good and as fast as that bike was you now made my new Husky Tc 150 one great bike. Just wish I was a little younger so I could chase that # 1 again You are the man
There are 100s of 165 still out there

I second that praise, I've enjoyed my 165 for several years now. that little motor always impresses me. I think im going to keep my cr165 going till the wheels fall off

Nothing but happy with my 165/177 Husky over the years. I still race it from time to time just because it is a blast

Need to order a piston kit for it, I think I'm at about 150 hours on since going 177 and a few hours shy of 500 total on the bike since I bought it.
